January 19, 2022 — Better text editing & copy/paste ⌨️
New features
(1) Select text across multiple blocks
We finally did it. Notion’s text editor has been completely retooled to combine the flexibility of “blocks” with the familiar feeling of a traditional word processor. Here’s what that means for you:
- On desktop: Click & drag to select, cut, copy & paste partial text across paragraphs, bullet lists, callouts & more — without having to select each block in its entirety.
- On mobile: Now you can select or copy/paste multiple items at once! Double tap to select text, and drag your selection to include content across multiple blocks.
Please note:
- We’re turning on this feature gradually throughout the month of January. If it doesn’t work for you yet, it will soon!
- For now, this feature will be supported on all platforms except Firefox. We’re actively working with the Mozilla team to enable this feature in Firefox as soon as possible.
(2) Navigate between database items in Peek View
Quickly jump to the next/previous item in your databases, using the new 🔼 and 🔽 buttons at the top left of the pop-up window. You no longer need to dismiss the pop-up and select another database item one at a time.
(3) Customize which page opens first when you launch Notion
When you first launch your Notion app, do you prefer it always open to the page at the very top of your sidebar? Or would you rather see your most recently visited page? Now you can set your preference in Settings & members → My notifications & settings → Open on start.

New features
(1) Toggles for H1, H2 & H3 headers
We know that toggles are a lot of folks’ favorite Notion feature. If you’ve ever thought “I wish toggles could be bigger,” you’re in luck! Here are a few ways you can add header toggles to your pages:
- Open the block menu by typing
/or clicking the+button that appears to the left of your paragraph, then select Toggle heading 1/2/3 in the dropdown menu that appears
- Type
>in an empty heading block, or#/##/###in an empty toggle block
- Use the Turn into command by clicking the ⋮⋮ block handle to the left of any block, or use a slash command such as
/turnintotoggleh1
(2) Add background colors to simple table rows & columns
We’ve been keeping an eye on your feedback since launching simple tables last month! One of the biggest requests was the ability to make simple tables more colorful. Now you’ll find a new Color menu when you click the column & row handles, giving you another way to organize your content.
(3) Create flowcharts & diagrams in code blocks
Create flowcharts, pie charts, user journey diagrams and more with Mermaid, right inside a code block. No need to screenshot or embed charts from other tools! Mermaid syntax is easy to learn, even if you don’t usually write code.
Just select
Mermaid in the language dropdown at the top left of any code block to get started. Once you’ve written your code, use the second dropdown at the top left to see a live Preview of your chart, or select Split to see your code and chart together.(4) Create page columns on iPad & Android tablets
In the past, multi-column layouts (like the two-column layout of this page) could only be created on desktop. Now, you can create multi-column page layouts on iPad & Android tablets too.
Just hover your cursor over any block and grab the ⋮⋮ block handle that appears (or tap and hold a block if you don’t have a mouse or trackpad), then drag to the far left or far right side of your screen.
(5) Better rollups
Rollups are one of Notion’s most powerful features, allowing you to bring in specific pieces of information from your databases into other workflows. Now, interacting with rollups is even easier.
- Rollups of URL, email & phone number properties are now clickable
- Hover your cursor over any rollup and click the ✏️ button to configure the rollup’s relation, property & calculation

Writing & editing
- It’s much easier to find the emoji you’re looking for as inline emojis or page icons (e.g. only the “bubble tea” keyword found the 🧋 emoji before, but now “boba” works too)
- Smart quotes & apostrophes are now supported (e.g. “It’s easier to invent the future than to predict it” instead of "It's easier to invent the future than to predict it.")
- Clicking on a page’s title in the breadcrumbs at the top left of the page now scrolls you to the top of the page
- Recursive page mentions are now supported (i.e. mentions of pages whose titles contain links to other pages whose titles contain links to other pages now include all of the associated links within the mention 🪆)
- The keyboard shortcuts for dark mode and transforming block type are now supported on iPad and Android tablets with an external keyboard
Databases & simple tables
- Checkbox properties can now be resized to perfectly fit the little checkbox in your Table view databases
- Newly created linked databases now reflect the sort, column order & column visibility of the first Table view of the source database
- Long titles now wrap onto new lines on Gallery view cards, and the
+ Newbutton is smaller when it’s the only item in a row
- Double click column separators in your simple tables to automatically resize the column based on the longest cell
- Databases with three or more views now include a search box within the view switcher dropdown menu
- When you change a database property’s visibility to “Hide when empty,” new properties added to the database will default to “Hide when empty”
- You can paste the same content into multiple selected cells simultaneously in Table view databases
- On mobile, you can now re-order columns in Table view databases, properties on database pages, and columns & rows in simple tables
- Numeric values in Table view databases now use tabular lining for better readability
Menus & pop-ups
- The dropdown menu that appears when you click the ⋮⋮ block handle of a sub-page now includes a button to
Open in new tab
- The pop-up that appears when hovering your cursor over hyperlinked text now includes an
Editbutton for easier link editing
Team collaboration & workspace admins
- Invoices for your Notion subscription are now more detailed and easier to read
- In the Members section of Settings & members, you can now sort the member list by name or access level by clicking the User and Access level column headings
- The dropdown menu that appears when you start to @mention a teammate now prioritizes internal employees who use your team’s email domain
- Workspace admins now have an
ADMINbadge next to their names in Settings & members → Members → Groups
Sharing & permissions
- When you’re logged into multiple accounts and navigate to a URL that your active account doesn’t have access to, Notion will now automatically switch to your other account that has access
- Mentions to pages that you don’t have access to are now titled “No access” instead of “Untitled”
- Fixed a bug that prevented previews from appearing in the page history tool for pages where the
Move tofunction had been used
Exports & imports
- The order of page properties is retained in PDF exports
- Sorts on a database view are retained in PDF exports
- Cyrillic characters are now supported in exported file names
- Inline links to Notion pages become links in exported PDFs
- Large pages are less likely to result in an error message during a PDF export
- File blocks become links in the exported PDF
- The Confluence importer tool is better at determining whether a Confluence table column should become a Checkbox property in Notion
International support
- More date formats are supported when inputting dates as mentions or database properties, especially in Korean
- Lots of interface fixes in the Korean & Japanese apps: button and menu item names that were too long, broken padding and spacing, miscellaneous rough edges
- Fixed a bug that prevented the
Ctrl/⌘+\keyboard shortcut for opening and closing the sidebar from working correctly on Japanese keyboards
- In the page history tool, date timestamps now use relative formatting (e.g. “1 day ago” instead of “12/20/2021,” or “February 1, 2022” instead of “2/1/2022”)
November 16, 2021 — Notion 2.14, now with simple tables 🏓

(1) Simple tables
A top feature request from the Notion community! Neatly organize your content in simple tables when you don't need all the bells & whistles of a database.
- Create and customize simple tables
To add a simple table to your page, just type
/table. Quickly add more rows & columns by dragging the bottom right corner, and toggle your header row and header column by opening the Options dropdown menu.

Have any tables in your docs that don't need to be databases? Turn them into simple tables by clicking the
••• at the top right of an inline Table view database, then Turn into simple table. Note: you won't see this option appear if your database has multiple views, content within database pages, hundreds of rows, advanced properties like file attachments, or if you're in the full page view.
- Turn your simple tables into databases
When your simple tables grow to hold more and more content, you may find yourself needing to filter, sort, or create custom views — all things you can do with a database. To switch, click the
••• at the top right of your simple table, then Turn into database.
(2) Better comments
Request feedback from stakeholders, brainstorm quarterly goals, and push projects forward by leaving more visible, easily discoverable comments on your notes & docs.
- Comments in margins
Now your comments (and your teammates' comments) are easier to find and respond to, unlocking more collaboration on your team. You'll see each comment floating in the right-hand margin of the page — click to expand longer comment threads.
To customize how comments appear on individual pages, click the
••• at the top right of the page, then Customize page.

The beauty of asynchronous collaboration is that you can get caught up on your own schedule. When there are comments on a page you haven't seen yet, you'll see a badge on the 💬 icon at the top right of the page, and badges in your right-hand comments sidebar to separate unread comments from ones you've already seen.

Create dynamic previews of GitHub PRs, Slack messages, Jira issues & more
See up-to-date information from other tools, all inside your Notion workspace. Now when you paste a link from Jira, GitHub, Slack, Trello, and Asana, you can turn it into a dynamic preview — either as an inline mention or as its own block. We'll be adding support for many more tools soon; this is just the beginning!
Here are a few ways you can use link previews with your team:
- Jira: Check the last time a Jira issue was updated without leaving your workspace
- GitHub: Allow teammates to check on the status of your pull request right inside a Notion doc
- Slack: See live previews of messages, including the number of replies, author & public channel name
- Trello: See the status of your cards at a glance
- Asana: Include previews of Asana tasks in your meeting notes, including the task's due date

October 19, 2021 — Notion 2.13, now with database groups & sub-groups 🍱
New features
(1) Database groups & sub-groups
Now you can visualize your tasks & projects with even greater precision. Group items by any property in your database views to achieve peak organization.
- Create groups in Timeline, Table, List & Gallery views
Using a database view with hundreds or thousands of items? Click the new
Group button to visually organize your content by whatever property makes sense for your workflow.Each group includes a toggle to the left, so you can quickly hide and show groups to focus on what you need. Empty groups can also be hidden from view with the new "Hide empty groups" toggle.
- Create groups and sub-groups in Board view
Your core task workflows just got way more organized with sub-groups.
If your board was already grouped by a Status property (e.g. "Not started," "In progress," "Complete"), now you can create sub-groups of those tasks organized by Priority, Team, Assignee, or whatever property you need — all while keeping your Status columns intact.
- Group by more properties, including Relation, Number, Date and more
Before, you could only group your items based off of Select, Multi-select, and Person properties. Now nearly every property type is supported, including Text, Number, Date, Checkbox, URL, Email, Phone, Formula, Relation, Created time, Created by, Last edited time, and Last edited by.
(2) Any workspace member can add integrations
Before, only admins could add an API integration to your team's workspace. Now, both admins and members can integrate with services like Automate.io, IFTTT, and Typeform.
To manage and remove the integrations added by members in your workspace, admins can go to
Settings & members → Integrations. For teams with an Enterprise subscription, there's a new setting in the Security & identity section to Prevent members from installing new third party integrations.
(3) More legible colors & Board view
Your workspace just got a lot easier to read! Vibrant new colors help reduce eye strain, and make Notion more accessible for everyone.
- Board views of your databases now include background colors to visually differentiate between columns — or disable them by clicking the
Groupbutton and turning off "Color columns"
- Select and Multi-select properties now use custom text colors to maximize contrast and legibility
- Text colors and background colors are more accessible too, passing all contrast tests from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
(4) Better comments on mobile
See every comment on a page at a glance, and respond to any comment thread on the go — all consolidated in the new comments view on mobile. Just tap the 💬 button at the top right of your screen to see all of the comments for that page.

(1) Notion is now available in Japanese
We're excited to take a big step toward making Notion feel native and intuitive to millions more people. Starting now, Japanese language is available in beta on web, with mobile and desktop apps rolling out in batches over the next couple weeks.

(3) Show & hide all database properties with one click
Using a database with lots of properties? Now whenever you're customizing one of your database's views, you can quickly hide & show all the properties in bulk. Just click the
Properties button at the top of your database, then select which properties you'd like to be visible in that view.

(1) Better comments
Collaborate more effectively with your team through a completely redesigned comments experience in Notion. Here are the key ways it will improve the way you work together, whether you're giving feedback, suggesting revisions, or planning projects:
- New comments sidebar
See every comment on a page at a glance, and respond to any comment thread — all consolidated in your new right-hand sidebar.
Use the
Resolve button to archive any comments where no more action is required, or filter your sidebar to only view Resolved comments, so you can see a history of decisions made.
- Attach images, GIFs, videos & files
When you're commenting on someone's doc, giving feedback about your teammates' design, or asking a colleague for the correct PDF, plain text doesn't always get the job done.
Now you and your teammates can add rich attachments to all your comments, including images, animated GIFs, full-length videos, and file attachments like DOCX files from Google Docs or Microsoft Word, PDFs & more.
- Copy & share links to specific comments
When folks are catching up on the status of a project or decision, it's helpful to point them to the exact thread where the discussion is taking place.
To do this, click the
••• button that appears when you hover your cursor over a comment, then click Copy link. Then, paste the URL in a Slack message, email, text message, or however you want to share with your teammate.
(2) Set a public home page for [yourdomain].notion.site
Hosting your company's careers page, investor pitch deck, or personal blog on a public Notion page? When someone asks for the link to your site, "acmedesign.notion.site/f00b1e695f4a4c659f703158282f7f9a" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, or fit on a business card. And before now, "acmedesign.notion.site" would have resulted in an error screen.
If you have a paid plan, you can now select a home page for your public site, so anyone who goes to [yourdomain].notion.site will be taken to whatever page you choose.
To do this:
- Go to the page you'd like to set as the homepage for your public site, and ensure that
Share to webis turned on in theSharemenu
- Go to
Settings & members→Settingsand scroll to the Public home page section to select your home page
- Be sure to also select a custom domain name in the Domain section if you haven't done so already
(3) More powerful iPhone & iPad apps
Now Notion is more deeply integrated into your iPhone & iPad, making it easier to search & share your docs on the go.

(4) Copy & paste multi-column layouts
This one has been a long time coming! Now when you click and drag to select blocks in a multi-column layout and copy to your clipboard, the column structure will stay intact when you paste it somewhere else in Notion.

New features
(1) Dynamic @today & @now mentions in database templates
When you're taking notes, typing @today or @now lets you quickly record the current day's date. They automatically resolve to display the month, day, and year as time passes, but they didn't work within database templates — until now.
When you type @today or @now while editing a database template, you'll see two options: one to record today's date, and a new option, Date when duplicated, which creates a dynamic date mention each time the template is used in the future.
(2) New emojis & page icons 🐈⬛
We've heard it many times: there's something especially therapeutic about selecting the perfect emoji for your Notion pages. Plus, they make your content much easier to find later!
Now there are dozens of new emojis to choose from — add them as page icons at the top of your docs and databases, or type them inline in any paragraph with the : key, followed by the name of the emoji.
(3) Copy database properties to your clipboard in one click
Before, it took several clicks to take the information from a database property and copy it to your clipboard for pasting elsewhere.
Now you'll find convenient
Copy to Clipboard buttons next to Text, Number, URL, Phone, Email, Created time, and Last edited time properties, making for a much faster workflow.
(4) Better URL properties in databases
URL properties in your databases are now easier to use. Clicking the URL opens that page in your web browser, rather than selecting the property for editing. And there's a new
Edit URL button that appears when you hover over the property with your cursor.
(5) Recently visited pages sync across devices
When you first open the
Quick Find window, the first thing you'll see is a list of your RECENT PAGES. Now these sync across all your browsers & devices! For example, if you're working on a page in the desktop app, it'll appear at the top of your RECENT PAGES section the next time you access your workspace in the mobile app.
(6) Better quote blocks
Recently, we added the ability to include rich content within callout blocks. Now you can do the same with quote blocks!
To do this, grab a piece of content (such as images, bullets, databases & more) by the ⋮⋮ block handle to its left, then drag inside the quote block.

Now you can see detailed information about each of your pages while using Calendar view on your iPad or Android tablet, without having to tap on each individual day. Plus, you can drag & drop items from one day to another — just like desktop!

(2) Better Callout blocks
Before, you could only include plain text inside your Callout blocks. Now you can include any type of rich content you like: bullets, numbered lists, toggles, images... you can even nest a Callout block within a Callout block 🤯
To do this, grab a piece of content by the ⋮⋮ block handle to its left, then drag inside the Callout block!
(3) Better access management for your API integrations
Now you have even more control over what content is shared with an integration. And the process of adding an integration to your Notion workspace is much smoother now!
- You can pick specific pages to grant access to with the new search field — you're no longer limited to the top-level pages in your workspace
- The page picker will remember which pages you already granted access to, so you don't have to re-select them each time you want to adjust the integration's permissions
(4) More inclusive Name field
Not every culture has last names/family names/surnames. So we revised the Name setting to use a single, unified field instead of two — this enables names of any structure when you're tagged by teammates in comments, pages, and "Person" properties in databases.
To customize how your name is displayed in your workspace, go to the
My account section of Settings & members, under "Personal info."
(5) New API integrations with Neeva & n8n

Please note: The changes to public pages and the new formatting toolbar on mobile are rolling out gradually this week. If you don't see these new features yet, you will soon!
(1) Brand new formatting toolbar on iOS & Android
Your Notion mobile app just got a big upgrade! The formatting toolbar above your keyboard is completely redesigned from the ground up.
Now it's much easier to add & edit content on mobile — the toolbar intelligently recommends formatting options depending on the content you're working with. Changing the text & highlight color, notifying your teammates in a comment, indenting bullet points... it all feels faster and more natural in the new formatting toolbar.
(2) Public pages are now hosted at [yourdomain].notion.site
You've always been able to turn any Notion page into a quick & easy website in just a couple clicks. Now the links you share with colleagues, customers and friends will include your personal branding right at the front!
- Before, links to your public pages looked like this: notion.so/acmedesign/xxxxx12345
- Now, links to your public pages will look like this: acmedesign.notion.site/xxxxx12345
To set the domain for your public links, just go to Settings & Members → Settings → Domain (you'll need to be on desktop, and an admin in your workspace).
(3) Better numbered lists
- Now all the numbered lists across your Notion workspace will default to alternating between numbers, letters, and Roman numerals at each level of indentation
(4) Better quote blocks
To help maintain visual consistency across your pages, quote blocks now default to the same size as regular text. The large quote size is still available too. Just select your preference by clicking the ⋮⋮ block handle to the left of a quote block, and navigate to the new Quote size menu. Then all your future quotes will use that size.
(5) New API integration with Back
We're excited to welcome a new partner to the API platform, Back. They help companies provide a seamless employee experience by making support and information readily available.
With this integration, teams like HR and IT always have the right Notion page on hand when responding to employee requests. Back’s bots for Slack, MS Teams, and Google Chat can also use your policies and how-tos to automatically answer FAQs, such as “What’s our expense policy?” or “How do I request time off?”

(1) Synced Blocks
Oftentimes, information needs to be included in multiple places throughout your workspace. But when that content needs an update, it's a pain to make those corrections over and over, one page at a time.
Now you can use Synced Blocks to ensure your content is always accurate and up-to-date! When you make any changes to the content or formatting of a Synced Block, all the other copies will update automatically.
Follow these steps to create Synced Blocks:
- Copy some content
- Paste on another page, and select Paste & sync in the dropdown that appears
- Your content is synced! Any changes you make will update every Synced Block.
The possibilities with Synced Blocks are endless. Here's a few ways you can use them in your Notion workspace:
- Paste & sync OKRs across your team's homepage, weekly meeting notes, and 1:1 notes. When you make changes to the metrics & KPIs in one place, all the other Synced Blocks will update automatically.
- Include a footer with your contact info & social media profiles on every page of your personal website, blog, or portfolio. If you choose to change the formatting or add more info down the road, Synced Blocks ensure you won't have to make those changes one page at a time.
- Keep your company's mission statement, values, or North Star top of mind by including it at the top of every new project proposal, decision doc, and job posting. If there are any tweaks, you'll only need to make them once.
(2) New API integrations with IFTTT, atSpoke & more
Since the introduction of the API public beta last month, thousands of developers have built integrations, making millions of API requests per day. It's incredibly exciting to see what y'all are building 🏗️

Customize your Android home screen with instant shortcuts to the Notion dashboards, notes, and workflows you need. There's three customizable widgets to choose from, as well as handy shortcuts when you tap and hold the app icon:

Notion's left-hand sidebar is the front door to your digital office, storing all your team's wiki pages, notes & tasks. Now it's much easier to keep your sidebar organized! You'll have easy access to the pages you need, without the added clutter of old one-off docs.
As a quick reminder:

WORKSPACEsection are visible to your whole team
- Pages in the
SHAREDsection are only visible to specific people on your team

PRIVATEsection are only visible to you
In the new-and-improved

(1) Automate user and group provisioning with Notion's SCIM API 🔁
SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) enables organizations to create, manage and remove members and groups in Notion through an identity provider (like Okta or Rippling) or your own app.

- We currently support Okta, Rippling, and custom SCIM applications. If you need help configuring SCIM, please let us know!

(3) Better inline links 🔗
We made inline links easier to use, and less finicky overall! Here's a quick summary of the new link features:
- Hover your cursor over any inline link to see the linked URL or Notion page in a tooltip
- When you paste the URL of a Notion page, there's a new
Mention pageoption in the dropdown that appears — this creates an inline link, whereas theLink to pageoption creates a full-width block
- The link menu is more keyboard friendly — arrow your cursor over a hyperlink to open the link menu, then open the link with enter/return, or focus the link menu with Ctrl/⌘ + /
(4) Show unique values of a rollup ❄️
When you use rollup properties to display values from a related database, there's a new rollup formatting option:
Show unique values. Use it to omit duplicate values from the related database — for example, when you're displaying the lead engineers of each bug that's related to a software release, as seen below.
(5) Add captions to code blocks 💾
Now you can add a caption to any code block — perfect for blog posts, detailed documentation, or just keeping your code snippets labeled and organized.

It's finally here! Get the visibility you need into your team's plans, projects, and tasks across days, weeks, quarters, and beyond — editing deadlines is just a drag & drop away.
Timeline view makes your databases more customizable than ever.
- Add a table with one or many properties next to your timeline to understand more about your projects, or hide the table altogether
- Group your timeline by a Date, Created time, or Last edited time property — or use different start and end dates for even more flexibility
- Visualize your tasks and projects across hours, days, weeks, bi-weeks, months, quarters, and years
- Create granular views of your data with powerful database filters — and combine AND and OR logic up to three layers deep
- Add a Board, Table, List, Gallery or Calendar view to your timeline, or add a timeline to your existing databases

(2) Flexible sub-page permissions 📑
Before, permissions could not be changed for any page that was nested inside another page — they always inherited the permission level of the parent page. Now, you can expand or restrict permissions for any sub-page.
Here are a few actions that are now supported that weren't possible before:
- In a top-level wiki page, create a secret sub-page that some people can see, but others cannot
- Grant the entire workspace
Can editaccess to a wiki sub-page, but retainCan readaccess for the parent page
- Give an Engineers permission group
Full accessto most of the Engineering Wiki, except for a few sub-pages that can't be edited at all
This is just the first step of many permissions improvements to come. Stay tuned!
(3) Hide database properties 🙈
This has been a top feature request from our community for a long time! Now you have ultimate control over which properties are shown in your database pages. No more scrolling through dozens of properties just to see your content!
Here are a few ideas, if you are...
- A formula wizard: Now if you add a property just to use it in a formula, you can set it to
Always hide.
- A minimalist: Hide backlinks, comments, and page properties to maximize empty canvas, and keep the focus on your content.
- A habit tracker: Tracking information across dozens of properties? No problem. Now you can have fields
Hide when emptyto stay uncluttered.
(4) Limit inline databases to rows 🗜
When databases are inline, you can include other content blocks above or below them. But this can get cumbersome if a database you want to add to a doc is hundreds of rows long.
Now you can limit inline tables, lists, galleries, and timelines to only show 10, 25, 50, or 100 rows at first, then click to load more.
(5) Show backlinks in a popup, or hide them 🗯️
Prefer a more streamlined page layout? Now there's a new
Customize page button in the ••• menu at the top right of your pages — use it to hide or show backlinks and comments on any page. And for those who use backlinks but don't want them expanded all the time, there's a new Show in popup setting.

Timelines are most helpful when your projects have a start and end date — you can visualize your Timeline based on a
Date, Created time, or Last edited time property. For even more flexibility, use separate properties to set the start and end of each card.For example, you may want to use a
Created time property as the start time for each card, and a Date property named Deadline for the end time. To do that:- Click the

(1) Write your notes by hand on iPad ✍️
The new "Scribble" feature for Apple Pencil works perfectly in Notion! Handwriting your notes instead of typing them can be a helpful boost for memorization — all you need to do is update to iPadOS 14 and you're good to go.
P.S. Sorry Android tablet users, this is more of an Apple feature than a Notion feature 😓 We'll keep making our mobile apps better across all platforms!
(2) Log out of Notion from all your devices, remotely 📡
This will come in handy if you forget to log out of your Notion account on a public computer, or your personal device is stolen or misplaced. Just go to
Settings & members in your left-hand sidebar, go to the My account section, and click the button under Log out of all devices.

September 17, 2020 — Notion 2.9, now with backlinks to connect your thoughts 💭

New features
(1) See all the pages linked to a page, automatically 🕸️
Backlinks show you all the places where the current page is referenced. Now you can freely navigate from page to linked page — thought to linked thought — with no extra setup or maintenance on your end.
Notion is not the only tool with backlinks — they've been around for a long time! But we'll keep making ours more powerful. Plus, backlinks are included in the long, long list of features that are completely free for personal use, indefinitely.
Use backlinks to:
- See related topics on a wiki page
- Discover all the scattered notes, docs, and tasks linked to the same projects
- Link topics of interest when taking notes, creating automatic collections of thoughts
(2) New shortcuts to +create and [[link]] pages as you type 🖇️
Make connections between your pages and create new pages as you type — no need to leave your keyboard or interrupt your train of thought. Plus, you don't have to organize everything into a perfectly structured hierarchy if that's not how your brain works!
To support people's habits coming from different tools, there are now 3 ways to create dynamic page links in-line. They all create backlinks too.
- Type
[[, followed by the name of the page you want to reference. Easiest way to link a page.
- Type
+, followed by the title of the page you want to create. Easiest way to make a new page.
- Type
@, followed by a date, person, or page. Now @-mentions let you create pages too.
(3) Inline sub-pages 📃
Before, sub-page links had to be their own standalone content blocks on their own lines. Now you have the option to nest a sub-page right inside a paragraph.
To create a sub-page inline with other text, just type
+ followed by the name of the sub-page you want to create. Select + New "title" sub-page in the dropdown that appears.
(4) Turn a block of content into a page that lives somewhere else ☑️ → 📄
Power users, this one is for you. Select a block of content like a paragraph of text, a bullet point, or a to-do checkbox — and quickly turn them into a page that's nested inside a different page, a database, or a database with a template applied. It works for selections of multiple content blocks too.
Use this to:
- Turn a list of action items in your meeting notes into pages in your Tasks database
- Turn a scratchpad of social media ideas into pages in your Content Calendar
- Turn a messy bullet list of leads and prospects into pages in your Sales CRM
(5) Link and create pages from the formatting toolbar 🔗
Until now, the
Link button in the formatting toolbar only worked for URLs. Now you can also use it to search for another page in your workspace to link (while retaining the original text you selected), or even create a new page for the link to point to.
(6) Unclutter your pages by hiding comments 🧹
Sometimes pages can start to feel cluttered when there's a bunch of comments at the top. So we added the option to hide them in page view! Just hover over any comment, click the
••• that appears to the right, and click Hide page comments.There's a lot more we're doing to make page view even more customizable — stay tuned!

How do I change my language settings?
You will need to use Notion on your desktop computer to change your language settings. Once you do, your mobile app will update automatically.

The perfect combination of speedy and secure. Access your content instantly with your Apple ID — no need to enter your Notion password or check your email for a login code. Plus, you can finally take advantage of Face ID or Touch ID on iOS!
This option is now available in Notion on all iOS devices. Android, web, and desktop are coming later this week!

- [Enterprise Plan] Lock your team's Workspace pages 🔒
The Workspace section of the sidebar is where your team's most important pages live. Admins in Enterprise Plan workspaces can now add an extra layer of security to prevent any accidental changes to these pages.
When you turn on this option, workspace members won't be able to create, move, re-order, or delete top-level pages in the Workspace section. This is particularly helpful for larger teams! To enable it, go to the Security & SAML section of
Settings & Members on desktop.

FAQs about Continue with Apple
How can I use Continue with Apple with my existing Notion account?
Your Notion account email will need to be the same as your Apple ID.
For example, if your Apple ID is [email protected], you can use
Continue with Apple to log in as long as that's the email you see in the My account section of Settings & Members in Notion. More on changing your email here →- When you use
Continue with Applefor the first time, you'll see two options: Share My Email and Hide My Email.
- Select Share My Email, and you'll be logged into your Notion account.
- If you selected Hide My Email, you'll need to unlink
Continue with Applefrom your Notion account and start over. To do that, go to the Apple ID section of your device settings, then Password & Security.
I don't see a Continue with Apple button on my device.
This feature is available on all iOS devices as of Jul 28, 2020. We're rolling it out to all users across Android, web, and desktop apps this week of July 27. Thanks for your patience 🙏

Before, you had to be logged into Notion on a desktop computer in order to invite more teammates. Now you can send quick invites on mobile as well! Just tap the new
Members button in your mobile sidebar to copy your workspace's unique Invite Link, or add teammates by entering their email address.

You heard it here first: there is such a thing as too many emojis. We think these new icons look a bit more streamlined! We also adjusted the padding and spacing to enhance readability.

dateBetween() formulas are helpful to calculate the time elapsed between multiple date properties. But did you know you can use this on standalone date properties too? Just wrap your date property in start() and end(), like this:
dateBetween(end(prop("Date")), start(prop("Date")), "hours")Copy and paste this formula into your own database to give it a try! Just replace
Date with whatever your Date property is named, and you can change "hours" to "minutes," "days," "months," etc.

The formatting menu has a new addition: underline! Use the keyboard shortcut text
Ctrl/cmd + U to underline any text in Notion, and combine underline with any other styling option.
- Better multi-column support for inline databases 🏛
Before, inline databases in multi-column layouts automatically indented and didn't align correctly with other content. Now, you can tuck databases inside toggles or columns, or create beautiful dashboards with different views of the same database, as seen below:
- Restyled @-mentions and hyperlinks 🔗
@-mentions are an easy way to add links to any other page in your workspace — especially useful for wikis! Now page mentions and external hyperlinks are a bit more polished and eye-catching.

Display beautifully formatted math equations inline next to your text. Just surround your KaTeX formula with $$ on either side to quickly turn it into an equation. (e.g.

- Always receive email notifications 📩
Notion has always had the option to enable email notifications for when you're mentioned in your workspace. But if the app was open on your computer or mobile device at the time, you'd receive a push notification instead of an email.
Now, you can turn on
Always send email notifications in Settings & Members → My Notifications to make sure nothing slips through the cracks, and ensure you have a digital paper trail of all important updates.

FAQs about the free Personal Plan
I already had a free Notion account. What changed?
Our old Free Plan had a limit of 1,000 blocks of content. Now, you’re on our new free Personal Plan and can add as much content as you want!
We made a couple other changes, too:
- We made it simpler to share pages with collaborators. Instead of adding them as guests or members, just send them a link.
- You can now invite up to 5 guests to collaborate privately with you on pages in your workspace. To invite more guests, you'll need to upgrade to our Personal Pro Plan.

What if I'm already paying for the old Personal Plan?
You've been automatically upgraded to our new Personal Pro Plan at no extra cost! In addition to all the features of the free Personal Plan, Personal Pro includes:

What happens to all the guests I added on the old Free Plan?
You can still add up to 5 guests to collaborate on any page in your workspace. If you've already added more than 5 guests, they will still be there. But to add more over the 5-guest limit, you’ll need to upgrade to the Personal Pro Plan.
That said, our new public editing feature makes it possible to allow any other Notion users with the page's link to add edits or comments. Learn how to collaborate with link sharing in this guide →
Note: Guests are helpful for inviting editors without making your page viewable to anyone with the link.
What if I had multiple members in my free workspace?
No worries, you don't have to remove anyone! Nothing is different for you until you hit 1,000 blocks of content. At that point, if you want to add more, you can:
- Upgrade to our Team Plan. More on that here →
- Start a new workspace for just yourself and use it for free, indefinitely.
- Remove members, and enjoy no content limits on your own.
⚠️ Note: Make sure members in your workspace have their private pages backed up before you remove them! More on this here →
How can my team try out Notion for free?
We want to make it easy for you to take Notion for a spin with multiple members before you start paying. Here's how to do that:
- Create a new Notion workspace, and select
Teamas the type when asked.
- You'll be enrolled in a Team Plan free trial that gives you access to Team Plan features with a 1,000-block content limit. When you hit that limit, you can upgrade.
What about free plans for students and educators?
Students and educators are eligible to get our new Personal Pro Plan for free (normally $5/month)! And those already on our Free Education Plan have been upgraded automatically. In addition to all free features, this includes:

We've started optimizing our mobile apps to deliver a more desktop-like experience on iPad and Android tablets. Our work here isn't done — stay tuned for more. But here's what we have so far:
Keep your sidebar open when you're working in landscape orientation. It'll close automatically when you rotate your tablet to portrait orientation.
View multiple columns. While you can't create columns on tablets quite yet, you can now see them on your tablet after creating them on desktop.
Better keyboard support. Use slash commands and keyboard shortcuts, move your cursor with the arrow keys, and select text using shift + arrow keys. Try
Ctrl/cmd + \ to open and close the sidebar, or Ctrl/cmd + shift + L for dark mode.
Menus such as the Share menu, ••• menu, Quick Find, and Notifications now open in a pop-up window instead of full-screen.

We optimized size and spacing across all font styles for better readability, and the Mono style has a new (we think handsomer) look. We also added better support for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Cyrillic characters in the Serif and Mono styles.

Hello from San Francisco! If you're like us, you're probably just getting used to working at home. Notion went full remote last week to help contain COVID19 here in San Francisco, and we figured we weren't alone in trying to stay connected and on track. So, a couple of our engineers spent the last week building features to make collaborating at a distance easier and better.

We've made several changes to the way you can choose a paid Notion Plan, and to our billing experience so that both are clearer and easier to navigate.
- Streamlined invoicing.
In the
Billing tab of Settings & Members, we used to include two items for every one renewal date (indicating invoice available and payment succeeded). Now we've simplified this to one item that will indicate whether the invoice for a renewal date is due, paid, credited or failed, and the amount.
- Clearer invoices.
Our invoices are cleaner, better organized and more descriptive. Every change you make to your paid plan (such as adding or removing members) will be reflected and clearly explained in terms of how much you're charged.
- Clearer upgrade & downgrade.
Previously, it wasn't obvious which of our paid plans represented an upgrade vs. a downgrade in your Notion features. If you go to

- We fixed a bug where relations to deleted pages did not get removed.
- We added support for HEIC format images uploaded from iOS devices.

- Currencies will always round to 2 decimal points (or none for Won and Yen).

Templates make it easy to replicate pages in a database so they have the same properties and structure.
Let's say you want to standardize bug reports, for example. You can create a template that's automatically tagged with
Bug and has page sections for how a bug was discovered, screenshots, and recommendations for fixing it. Your team can use it every time they report a bug!
We also simplified how templates appear on new pages. Just scroll with your
arrow keys and click enter to pick one.
- Unsplash Images! 📸
Now you can search and choose from Unsplash's library of 950,000 gorgeous photos to add to any Notion page.
You can use Unsplash photos for page covers, too!
- Table of Contents
Make it easy to navigate long pages with multiple headings. Add a Table of Contents like any other block (using
/table of contents for instance), and a list of anchor links to all your headings and sub-headings will show automatically!
You can also add a Table of Contents by hitting
+ next to a block and scrolling to the Advanced Blocks section.
- Better Cards
There are a few new things you can do with cards in boards and galleries.
Change card size to small, medium, or large. Click
Properties at the top to see the options:
Change the way your images are cropped. Our default is to zoom in so they fit the frame (16:9). By going to
Properties and toggling on Fit Image, you can make sure your entire image shows in the frame.
Hide card names (ideal for mood boards). Go to
Properties and toggle off Name.
- Start the week on Monday in calendar view
Turns out a ton of people don't start their weeks on Sunday. Sorry, rest of the world — we just caught up. Now you have the option to start your week on Monday in all calendars.
This fix should show up automatically based on your location, but you can also go to
Settings & Members > My Account and toggle on Start week on Monday.
One other calendar improvement: we'll remember the month you were last looking at, so when you click away and then back, you don't have to re-find your place.
- Better updates menu
We made labels in your
All Updates menu more explicit, so you know which notifications are new, which you've seen but not clicked on (Read), and which ones are private just for you.
- Random emoji button
Want a different emoji icon for your page but don't know what? Pick a new one using the Random button. Hit it 'til you like it!

Now when you publish Notion pages to the web, breadcrumb navigation appears at the top so viewers can see where they are on your site and click to go back.
Ideal if you want to use Notion to host your resume, portfolio, blog, or company documentation that might go several levels deep.
- Search public pages 🔍
We added a button at the top of public pages that lets anyone search their contents, and the contents of their sub-pages.
Helpful if you've created a bunch of documentation, or a reference guide like Blendle's Employee Handbook.
- Safer drag and drop in the sidebar
When you drag a page from a shared workspace into the Private section of your sidebar, other users lose access. We added a confirmation check to make sure this is what you want to do.
- Disable search engine indexing 🔒
Before, if you made a Notion page public, Google and other search engines could index it so it would show up in search results. We've added the option to turn this off so your page will never be surfaced on search engines. Click Share to see this menu:

- Drag and drop on mobile now has a longer tap-and-hold delay so you don't accidentally drag blocks.
- We added help links throughout the app to help you learn more about Notion features. On mobile, look for the gray ? buttons.
- We added a new shortcut to open or close all toggle lists on a page at once:

- When using backticks (`) to create inline code, we now disable all text autocomplete, like '—' and '→'.

- H1, H2, H3 🍡
Now you have two different sizes of subheads to choose from for all your subhead needs! Just type /sub or /h3 to get going.

You can now rename files in a file block and in the file property type in any database. We'll keep the file extension consistent.

The new relation menu is a compact table view, allowing you to see properties without navigating. Also, the menu can support many more related records without breaking a sweat.
The new ✨Rollup ✨ property type allows you to show properties of related records and perform simple calculations on them.
For example, you could show the status of a related roadmap item:
We now require you to select a database when creating a relation. All existing relations that did not select a database will be migrated to a text column, and the relations will turn into @-mentions of pages.
If your relation got converted into text, you have two options: leave it as text (you can still click the @mentions and use it like a relation), or turn it into a relation and select a database. If you do this, any property values not in that database will be removed.
- Page & Database Lock 🔒
You can now lock pages to prevent accidental edits, and lock databases to prevent property and view edits.
Pro Tip: Quickly unlock and re-lock page or database by clicking the lock indicator in the topbar.
- New Code Block Languages
We've added many more languages for our code block, as well as a search input so you can quickly find the language you want.
- Improved Board Hidden Columns
When you click a hidden column, we now show a popup, allowing you to quickly search and manipulate records without un-hiding the column.

Yep. Notion finally has tables! They're powered by a database behind the scenes, so you can customize each column with different content types: single/multi-select, due date, file attachment, checkbox, assignee...
And now for the best part: each table row is a stand-alone Notion page, allowing you add additional content. For example, attach meeting notes to a customer in your CRM table. Or, embed design specs into a product roadmap table. It's a unique marriage of databases and documents.

Behind the scenes, Notion 2.0 is a database on top of your notes and wikis. It's great for organizing large records of things (e.g. hiring candidates, bugs & feature requests). Create color-coded tags for any record using the single or multi-select property. You can use them to sort and filter pages however you'd like.

Long time no update. We've been working hard on a series of big releases! This first one is about collaboration and notifications. They're notoriously hard to design for, so we would love your feedback once you've had a chance to play around with them 😇
Features & Improvements
- In-App update feed 📬
From our team users, the most frequent request is always "how can I see what's changed?"
Now you can! Simply click on the "All Updates" button in the sidebar, and you'll see all your page updates and notifications neatly in one place.
(1) All Updates : it shows all the changes in your workspace that are visible to you. Think of it as a Facebook feed for your team.
(2) Followed : it shows the updates for pages you follow, which is useful for keeping an eye on important pages, or ones you are currently collaborating on.
(3) Mentions : it shows all your @mentions, plus comments on pages you've followed. Think of it as the "red badge" in Slack. It's a great way to get your teammates' attention!
*The Slack integration is temporarily disabled for the time being. Don't worry. It'll make a comeback.
- Page follow 👀
Need to keep a closer eye on a certain page? Now you can follow it, and it will show up in your "All Updates" menu.
You'll automatically follow the pages you have created or edited.
- Character-by-character page updates ✍️
Also in your page's "Updates" menu, you'll see a feed of changes on that page. Great for collaborating on all sorts of documents and drafts.
- Better email updates 💌
Previously, email updates only show @mention and comments. Now they'll show the actual content that's changed, especially useful for your external collaborators.
- Push notifications for Mac, Windows, & iOS apps 🛎
If you use one of our apps, we'll intelligently forward your @mentions and comments notifications to one of your devices so they don't flood your email inbox.

- Revamped Slack notifications: less noisy, and more personal 🙂
Many of you suggested that our Slack notifications were too noisy, so we did a complete makeover. It now truncates lengthy updates, also shows the page emoji as well as the avatar of the editor. Try it!
You can enable the Slack notification near the top right of your window -> then click Add to Slack.
- Page icon as browser tab favicon
We now set the browser tab favicon based on your page icon – it'll be a huge time-saver for those of you have many browser tabs open at once.
- Ctrl/Cmd + A to select all
Now if you press Ctrl/Cmd + A twice, it would select everything on your page.
- An easier way to configure a template button
We added a special button for configuring the template button block. Not need to right-click again!

The mobile search experience was buggy, so we polished it up.
- Turn a toggle into a header
Before, if you turned a toggle list into a header or sub header, the blocks inside would be inverted.

Now, we let you start with an empty page and bypass the template picker.

We locked ourselves in for the past couple months and pretty much rewrote Notion from scratch. Now, all of your pages will load much faster. We worked really, really hard on this and hopefully it will put a smile on your face 🤗
- Page covers and styles
You can now add a beautiful image to the top of any page. We also hand-picked nearly a hundred images from the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rijksmuseum, and NASA archive for you to choose from. Page styles have been simplified as well.
- A much, much faster drag & drop
The old drag & drop required some serious dexterity. Try the new one – it's fast and much more accurate.
- A brand new sidebar for your team
The old sidebar could be confusing. We redesigned it (and borrowed a couple ideas from Slack). For teams, it now separates your team and private pages, and lets you discover your teammates' pages with just a click.
- Page emojis and icons
You can now customize any page's icon with an image or emoji – to add some color for your content, and help you find the page in the sidebar.
- Quickly add a new page 🏃🏃♀️
When you hover over the left sidebar, you'll see a "+" button next to every page. It lets you quickly create a new page inside, without polluting your entire team's top-level pages.
- More templates!
We added Weekly Planner, Team Home, and Travel Notes templates.
We also made the template picker less obtrusive. It only shows up when the page is empty, and you can always hit "Enter" to quickly start with an empty page.
- Basic page analytics 📈
You can now see recent edits and viewers of any page.
- RIP Sections. Long live Headers! 🙌
In the old Notion, it was hard to know which Section you were inside of. Sections are now Headers and Sub-headers. They work nicely with the # and ## Markdown shortcuts. Don't worry, you can still use "Turn Into" to transform Pages into Headers.

- Simplified guest and pricing model for teams
You can now add as many guests to your team as you like – for free. You'll also be charged for all members on your team at the end of the every billing cycle, whether they have been active in the previous month or not – it's easier to budget, but could potentially result in a larger bill – so watch out!

Many of you have complained that our personal referral system was confusing, so we added a dedicated tab in the settings to help you with that.
We also removed the monthly limit, and now you can get unlimited blocks after inviting a certain amount people. Have fun!

This is our biggest release since launch. A lot things have changed. We strongly recommend that you check out our upgrade guide.
- Enterprise-grade team management 💪
As more and more 100+ people companies signed up on Notion, it became obvious that our admin features were lacking.
With this release, we are giving you tools to mange all of your members, guests, and manage billing from a bird's-eye view. For any teams larger than half a dozen people, you can't live without it!
- Custom team domains 👯
Setup a domain like "notion.so/company-name" to access all your team's content or invite new members.
- A redesigned sidebar + private pages
The sidebar now lets you discover and bookmark other team pages (like joining a Slack channel), or create pages that only invited teammates could access or modify (like Slack private channels).
- A more personal Notion 🏠
If you are using Notion by yourself, your Pro features will now cover all of the content you have access to (even if they are created by other people). You don't need to pay for any of your collaborators.
- Quickly create a new page
Add an empty page quickly, or select from existing templates. It also works with the shortcut
Ctrl/Command + N
- New pricing. Unlimited members for everyone!
If you really think about it, our old pricing model really didn't make sense (a collaboration tool that caps on the number of team members, what? 😅)
So we now removed the 5-member limit completely. Instead, we're introducing a monthly limit on the number of content blocks you can add per month (very hard to hit if you just use Notion normally). You can easily increase your limit by inviting or collaborating with others.
We also changed the price per user from $5 to $8. If you were previously on a Pro plan, we'll honor your old price of $5 (and thank you for being an early adopter! 😇)

- Simplified editor
We unified "drag", "..." and "+" into a single button. Easier to access. Less in your face.
- Full page path in @mention and search
Now when you search or mention a page, we show the full page path, less confusing for pages that have similar titles.
- Better font for Mac and Windows
Typography nerds might have noticed this already. Notion now uses the default system fonts as the sans-serif option (San Francisco on Mac, Segoe on Windows). Better support for European languages, and emojis! 🍰🍕🌮

Before, if you moved an uploader while it was uploading, the upload would get canceled. 😰

Now, our slack notifications show you what changed within a page.

We made some big changes to our editor! Our goal was to make it feel more like a familiar text editor, without sacrificing our awesome drag and drop magic.
When you hover over a block, a small, unobtrusive indicator appears, making it easy to drag anything. You can still drag directly on objects like images and pages.
Text highlighting now works more like your favorite text editor. Just click and drag to select many blocks from within text.
Hovering over blocks also reveals a new menu that makes it easy to add new blocks, without needing to use the toolbox.
- Column & media resizing.
Columns are now resized by selecting the block and using the resize handles at the bottom left and right.
- Download Notion for Mac (preview) 🍰🍰🍰
The Mac app is now open to all users. The download link is near the bottom of your left sidebar. It's a preview release – please do message us if you noticed any issues. 🤗

This is a big change. Message us if you bump into any issues!
- A sidebar designed for your knowledge base.
The sidebar now shows you the sections inside of a page, making it easy to quickly scan and find the content you need. It will also remember the open/close state for pages at the top level.
- A more lightweight editing experience.
To make Notion feel more like a normal word processor, we removed the hover halo, and added custom text cursors to remind you that you can highlight text and drag blocks – at the same time.

We did a *major* upgrade to our server. Most of the changes are behind the scenes. Though you will notice a significantly faster search (10x - 15x), and just a tad faster page load.
Most importantly this upgrade improves the stability of Notion. As we are getting more and more people into the product, we need to ensure it's always reliable for everyone. 😃

- Revamped typography (inspired by iA Writer.)
Nitti is our new monospaced font, tailored for writing (it's also the primary font in iA Writer). Lyon is our sans-serif beauty. If you are a typography nerd like us, this will feel like Christmas. 🎄

- Full Screen for Images, Videos, and Embeds. 🌠
To view as full screen, just double-click the block, or click "Full Screen" when the block is selected.
It works nicely with Google Docs/Sheet embed. A full screen editing experience 💪
- Editor always shows the "grabby-hand". 👋
We tweaked how the editor looks. It now always shows the "grabby-hand" cursor (to remind you that everything in Notion is draggable.)

- Snap-to-grid resizing. 🖼
Image, embed, and columns now support resizing. They will automatically snap to a grid, sort of like LEGOs. It's now easier than ever to make beautiful pages.
- Font styles + alignment.
- Sans: the old, default workhorse.
- Serif: easy to read, good for publishing.
- Monospace: like a typewriter, great for writing.
Want to use Notion as a minimal writing tool? Or publish a page with handsome typography? Without losing the simplicity of the product, we carefully added two more font styles.

No more fiddling with the color picker! We hand-picked a couple dozen great colors for you. We made sure they always look nice no matter what.

You can now independently change the font size and color of section headings. We also got rid of the old subsection block.

For this release, we really focused on improving the performance of Notion, especially for larger pages. Loading is about 20% faster, and editing and dragging twice as fast! 🤘
- Slack notifications.
Slack integration is finally here! With just a few clicks, you can connect any page with a Slack channel, and receive updates when your teammates modify or comment on that page (or any of its sub pages).
- Inline code and code block.
For Mac users, we changed to a better font. Also, the tab space is now two instead four, so you can pack more in a single line. 💾

Before, some read-only pages could show up as blank screens.

Before, if you pressed backspace after an inline code, it could "stick" to your cursor.

- Add a comment thread to any block.
So many of you have been asking for this: now select a block and click the Comment button, it will attach a comment thread to that block. So easy to have a great discussion with your team! 🐭 🐱
- Upload and embed PDFs and videos.
The Embed block can now directly upload and preview a PDF or video in your page.
- Double-click to insert cursor.
Double-click anywhere to quickly insert cursor to the nearest block, like an old school text editor 🕰

Before you could drop a block into itself in some weird cases (I know, Inception 😱). Now you can't anymore.
- Inline link within Notion.
Before it always opened a new tab. Now it will navigate in the same tab if it's a Notion link.
- Dropped blocks ordering.
Before they could sometimes be in the reversed order after you drop.
- Date block.
Before we sometimes showed not just the date, but the hours, and it could look quite funky in smaller sizes.
- Subsection is now inside "Turn Into".
We forgot about this one before.

It's near the top of a your window. It will fade away when you start typing – useful, without being distracting.

They are now also near the top of your window, next to the breadcrumb.
- Adaptive sidebar color. 🌈
Your sidebars will change color based on the background color of your page. Try it! The page style button is near the top of your window.
- Shortcut to shift the selected blocks up or down.
