FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) & FOBO (Fear Of Better Options)
I think that the first question is more like FOBO.
However, in my opinion, these two mental status is all not healthy for us.
They will get us unhappy to our real situation.
In my experience, because of the convenient to get information from social media.
We pay our attention on others than ourselves, and fear that if we unsubscribe we’ll miss something important.
But those things are really not our business. In reality, we are not missing anything at all.
We need to take our attention back from those social media.
I removed the facebook app from my phone more than one year, and I have more time on the things that really important to me. Like talking with my parents, walking my dog, reading books, learning my interesting things.
I trust we will get everything we need at the right time, so don’t afraid to far away from the information that take our time away.
